Acupuncture

What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a therapeutic technique from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It is based on the principle that vital energy, called Qi (Chi), circulates through the body along 12 main meridians. These meridians connect the internal organs to different parts of the body.

Along these energy pathways lie acupuncture points, each with specific effects. By stimulating these points with fine needles, the acupuncturist works on energy imbalances that may cause physical, functional, or emotional disorders.

How Does an Acupuncture Session Work?

Each session begins with a complete energy assessment, including:

  • An analysis of your symptoms and medical history

  • Traditional Chinese pulse diagnosis and abdominal palpation

  • Identification of imbalanced meridians

Based on the results, the practitioner selects points to be punctured, heated with moxas, or stimulated with cupping therapy. Each session is personalized and adapted to your health condition.

⚠️ A rebound effect (fatigue, muscle soreness) may appear after the session and last 48–72 hours. This is a normal body response.

⚠️ Acupuncture does not replace medical treatment. In case of severe symptoms, always consult a doctor. It is not a substitute for medical prescriptions.

The Mukaino Method: Acupuncture and Movement

Developed by Dr. Yoshito Mukaino in Japan, this method combines TCM principles with movement analysis (flexion, extension, rotation…).

  • Through 30 mobility tests, the practitioner identifies the meridians involved in pain or joint restriction.

  • Treatment is performed by digitopuncture (needle-free acupuncture) on specific points to restore energy balance and improve mobility.

Fees

  • Single session: €60 (duration: 45 minutes)

  • Follow-up sessions (weekly if needed): €35 each (duration: 40 minutes)
